A prophet will you raise up for yourself from among your brothers, like me.
A prophet will you raise up for yourself from among your brothers, like me.
Acts 3:22-26 For Moses said, "The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet from among your brothers, like me; to him you will listen to everything he says. Anyone who does not listen to that prophet will be destroyed from his people." And all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel onward and on, have spoken of these days: You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, 'In your offspring all the families of the earth shall be blessed.' God raised up his servant (ton-pa-da) and sent him to you first to bless you, in order that you should turn every one of you from his iniquities."
Moses served as a mediator between God and the people. The people spoke and acted through Moses. However, in the future, a prophet like Moses (Jesus Christ) will come, and people will listen directly to him (ho logos). God will resurrect with Jesus those who believe that they died on the cross with Jesus Christ, and when the dead spirit is resurrected, a new temple will be established in the hearts of the saints, and so Christ, the Word, will enter the hearts of the saints as ho logos and have fellowship with them. In the words of the Bible, ho logos works and speaks to the saints.
Ean (ἐὰν) is a conditional mood meaning if. It is not easy to listen to the word, but if there is someone who does not listen, it means destruction. It means that most people will not listen to the words of the prophet. There will come a time when they will listen to the voice of the Lord, but if they do not listen, they will be destroyed. The word of ho logos comes to the saints in a small voice.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Here, the advent refers to the second coming of Jesus Christ, and in Greek it is "katabethetaiκαταβήσεται." The term second coming refers to what happens in the hearts of the saints, and the saints receive ho logos in their hearts. That is why Jesus becomes the master of the saints. Through Christ, the dead are first raised spiritually, and then the saints who are wearing spiritual bodies enter the kingdom of God. However, for those who have not built a new temple, the final judgment will occur when Jesus returns to this earth.
In 1 Thessalonians 2:19, it says, "For what is our hope or joy or crown of rejoicing? Is it not you who are present before our Lord Jesus at his coming?" The word "he is coming" in English is "he is coming," which makes us think of Jesus' second coming. However, the Greek Bible is "parousia (παρουσίᾳ)", which is a combination of the words "para" (beside) and "lyusia" (to be). It refers to the presence of Jesus Christ to the saints. Parousia has the same meaning as Emmanuel. It means God is with us.
James 5:7 "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming (parousian) of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its precious crop, how patient he is for it until it receives the early and late rains." Parousian, translated as coming (second coming), is a compound word of para (beside) and lucian (to exist, to be), and means the coming of ho logos into the hearts of the saints. The coming of ho logos is explained using the analogy of the early and late rains.
2 Peter 1:15 "For we did not follow cleverly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming (parousian) of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty." Parousian (παρουσίαν) does not mean the coming of Jesus, but rather his presence. In other words, it refers to the presence of Christ in the saints. Seeing his great majesty refers to the spectacle of the transfiguration when Peter, John, and James witnessed the body of Jesus Christ shining like light while talking with Moses and Elijah on the Mount of Transfiguration. This amazing spectacle that Peter witnessed is what is called the parousian present in the saints. Peter not only heard the presence of God, but also the voice of God. Peter is trying to connect the presence of Christ in the saints with hearing the voice of God.
In 2 Peter 1:19, it says, "We also have a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts." Sure word of prophecy means that when Christ dwells in the saints and they obey His word, they can hear His voice.
Just as Elijah heard the detailed voice of the Lord, so too should the saints be. Like a light shining in the darkness, like a morning star shining in the dawn after the night, when the saints’ hearts are like that, in the midst of earnest prayer, the voice of God is heard like this. The morning star (the voice of God) rising in the heart means that the voice of the Lord rises in the heart by being moved. Peter warned us to be careful. He told us to discern whether it is the voice of the devil or the voice of God. He told us to approach the meaning of the voice of God rising in our hearts based on the Bible with the heart of the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 3:17 "That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love," Katoikesai ton Christon (κατοικῆσαι τὸν Χριστὸν) means that Christ dwells in your heart. In order to do this, you must become one who is in Christ. Therefore, there are two things that make ho logos dwell in the heart of one who is in Christ: first, faith, and second, love. Faith is not my faith, but the faith of Christ. Love is agape, the love of God. It is not my love as a human being that loves, but the love that comes from Christ who died on the cross.
En to spermati su (ἐν τῷ σπέρματί σου) means, “in your seed (Jesus Christ)”, that all will be saved in that seed. Not the seed of Abraham, but the seed of God (ho Logos: Christ, the Word). When the seed enters the heart of the saint, ho Logos, the Word, is present, and the saint becomes his people. Ton paya (τὸν παῖδα) is not a servant, but the boy (the Son of Man Jesus Christ). It means the Son of Man who was born weakly as a human being.
